Coming from a family like the Gray clan, Maddison was always destined to follow in the footsteps of her older sister and get behind the wheel of a racing car – it was only a matter of time.
‘Maddie’ started her drive to become a racing car driver aged 12, behind the wheel of a kart – first racing Junior National Light before moving up to the JN heavy class and racing competitively.

Bigger things called, however, and in 2009 she jumped behind the wheel of a racing car for the first time.

On her debut behind the wheel of a Formula Vee, provided by Scud Racing, prepared by Lauren Gray Motorsport and with coaching from sister Lauren, Maddison finished her first meeting at Winton with race finishes of two seconds and a third place. Race meeting number two, this time at Phillip Island, saw more podium finishes and close racing with some of the best 1200cc Vee racers in Australia.

More beckons for Maddison, with runs in the LGM Toyota Echo in the Australian Manufacturers Championship scheduled for the remainder of 2010...

RACING HIGHLIGHT TO DATE:  Being able to race with the front runners in only my second race.
RACING HEROES: My sister (Lauren Gray). I really want to follow in Lauren's foot steps in becoming a better driver, and just becoming a well-known and respected driver like as well.
FAVE TRACK:  Philip Island, I find that even though it is a hard track to conquer, that it is still a really good learning track and no matter what, you will always leave the Island learning something new.
CAREER AMBITION:  To be as successful as I possibly can in the world of motor sport.
NON-RACING HOBBIES:  Hanging out with friends
