
AN ELATED LAUREN GRAY MOTORSPORT team has snared a top three class finish at the Dial Before you Dig Australian 6 Hour production car race at Eastern Creek after a dramatic and unpredictable class battle today.
The LGM Toyota Corolla Sportivo ran at the front of Class D – for production sports cars – all race long in an absorbing battle between teams with cars from Holden, Honda, Renault, Ford and Mini.
LGM ready to strike at six hour LAUREN GRAY MOTORSPORT is well positioned to shoot for a class podium in the Dial Before You Dig Australian Six Hour at Eastern Creek, after posting a strong performance in qualifying today. The LGM Toyota Corolla Sportivo qualified fourth in Class D, however the driving trio of Lauren Gray, Jake Williams and Michael Gray have proved evenly matched and extremely consistent – giving the team cause to believe a strong performance will be forthcoming tomorrow.

LGM signs local young gun for six hour LAUREN GRAY MOTORSPORT will draw on some local youthful exuberance when it tackles the Dial before You Dig Australian Six-Hour at Eastern Creek Raceway on July 18. The team has signed 18-year-old local racer Jake Williams to partner Lauren Gray in the same Toyota Corolla Sportivo that earlier this year finished 19th in the Armor All Bathurst 12 hour. The Cromer (NSW) resident has a long resume of competition in local motorsports, primarily in motorcycle competition. A switch to racing cars has brought success in the NSW State Hillclimb titles and also the local HQ state series.

Double podiums for Gray sisters at PI The Australian Manufacturers championship debut of 17-year-old Maddison Gray has proved a highlight of the weekends racing at the Phillip Island Grand Prix circuit in Victoria as Lauren Gray Motorsport ran two cars for the first time. Whilst Maddison drove the teams Toyota Echo in Class E, Lauren Gray raced the Toyota Corolla Sportivo - already driven to fourth in class at Bathurst and second at Symmons Plains this year – to a second-place finish overall in Class D. After achieving the rare feat of finishing the Bathurst 12 hour as a father-daughter combination, LGM’s performance this weekend saw sisters both finish on their respective class podiums at Phillip Island.
